Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 11/06/2025
Please read these Garage Rewards Loyalty Program Terms & Conditions (“Terms & Conditions”) carefully. By accessing or participating in the Garage Rewards Loyalty Program (the “Program”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and all terms incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, do not register, enroll, access, or participate in the Program.
THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS CONTAIN DISCLAIMERS OF WARRANTIES, LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, RELEASES, A CLASS-ACTION WAIVER, AND THE REQUIREMENT TO ARBITRATE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS THAT MAY ARISE HEREUNDER AGAINST THE COMPANY AND THE OTHER COVERED PARTIES (AS DEFINED BELOW), WHO ARE EXPRESS THIRD-PARTY BENEFICIARIES OF THE MANDATORY ARBITRATION PROVISION. THE AFOREMENTIONED PROVISIONS ARE AN ESSENTIAL BASIS OF THIS TERMS & CONDITIONS.
1. General
- The Program is a tier-based customer loyalty program operated by Smart, LLC d/b/a Detail Garage & Chemical Guys retail stores (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Through the Program, you can earn points for purchasing qualifying products and engaging in certain qualifying purchases and/or activities as described in these Terms & Conditions.
- The Program replaces all loyalty programs offered by the Company prior to the Effective Date referenced above (the “Legacy Program”). The Terms & Conditions set forth herein supersede all prior Legacy Program terms and conditions. All unexpired points from the Legacy Program will automatically transfer to the Program via your Member account. Transferred points under the Legacy Program will remain valid through November 1st, 2026 after which they will automatically expire without further notice and be removed from the Member account. Points earned under the Program will remain valid until the last calendar date of the twelfth (12) calendar month after the calendar date the points were earned, after which they will automatically expire and be removed from the Member account.
- The Program, including all points, rewards, benefits, and tier structures, is offered at the sole discretion of the Company. The Company reserves the right to amend, modify, suspend, or terminate these Terms & Conditions and any aspect of the Program (including rules, procedures, conditions, points, rewards, tiers, offers, or Member requirements) at any time. If a change materially affects the value of points, tier status, or rewards already earned, the Company will provide reasonable prior notice of such change by SMS/TXT message (where you have opted in), app notification, and updates posted on our website. Material changes will become effective on the date specified in the notice. Your continued participation following that date constitutes your acceptance of the changed terms.
- You may redeem the points you earn through the Program on in-person purchases at participating Detail Garage and Chemical Guys retail store locations only (“Participating Stores”). You may not redeem the points you earn through the Program on purchases made at Chemical Guys Car Wash facilities or on eCommerce/online channels, including chemicalguys.com and other digital retail platforms.
- The Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other state laws. The exclusive jurisdiction for any claim or action arising out of or relating to the Program or these Terms & Conditions is a state or federal court in Los Angeles, CA. Applicants for enrollment, Members and Company agree to resolve any disputes over the Program pursuant to the binding arbitration provisions set forth herein.
- These Terms & Conditions also incorporate by reference the “Terms & Conditions” (“Website T&Cs”), which are available at https://detailgarage.com/pages/terms-and-conditions and govern your access to and use of the Company website (www.detailgarage.com) and webpages and the Company mobile site and/or app. Through your enrollment and/or participation in the Program, you agree to the terms of the Website T&Cs. To the extent there is any conflict between these Terms & Conditions and the Website T&Cs, the Website T&Cs will control. These Terms & Conditions further incorporate by reference the “Privacy Policy,” which is available at https://detailgarage.com/pages/privacy-policy.
2. Eligibility
- Membership in the Program is free and available to individuals for personal use only. No purchase is required to enroll.
- Enrollment is limited to one Member account per eligible individual. Corporations, associations, automotive trade professionals, fleet service operators, or any account purchasing primarily for resale or business purposes under our B2B program and other groups are not eligible to earn points in the Program.
- Eligibility is limited to individuals who (a) are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States; (b) are at least eighteen (18) years of age (or have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence); (c) provide and maintain a valid email address; (d) are not already enrolled in the Program; and (e) have not previously been suspended or terminated from the Program.
- Void where prohibited: Participation is void where restricted or prohibited by applicable law in any state, county, or local jurisdiction in which the applicant or Participating Stores are domiciled.
- Employees: Current employees of the Company are not eligible to participate in the Program.
3. Enrollment
- Eligible individuals may enroll in the Program in person at the point of sale in Participating Stores or at authorized pop-up events using a handheld device. To register, individuals must provide their first name, last name, and mobile phone number. Members may then add additional details, such as email address and date of birth, through the Garage Rewards app.
- Enrollment is limited to one (1) Member account per eligible individual. The Company reserves the right to merge or deactivate any duplicate accounts at its sole discretion, and any points, rewards, or benefits associated with duplicate accounts may not be combined and may be forfeited unless otherwise determined by the Company.
- After providing the required information, eligible individuals will receive a welcome SMS/text message at the mobile phone number provided during registration. This message will include a hyperlink to these Terms & Conditions. Enrollment in the program is only completed when the individual clicks the hyperlink and expressly consents to the Terms & Conditions.
- The welcome message may also include an option to opt-in to receive SMS/text communications regarding the program. Opting in to SMS/text messaging is not required to enroll in the program and is separate from agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
- Enrollment is not effective until accepted and activated by the Company. If an individual is determined to be ineligible after enrollment, the membership will be terminated immediately, and no compensation, points, or other benefits will be paid, due, or redeemable.
- Once enrollment is accepted, the individual becomes a Member. Members are eligible to participate in the Program and earn points and rewards in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
- Ongoing eligibility: Membership is subject to continuing compliance with these Terms & Conditions. The Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to review and determine a Member’s eligibility at any time and to suspend, adjust, or terminate accounts that no longer meet eligibility requirements.
4. Membership
- One Account Per Member: Members may maintain only one Program account. If more than one Program account is opened or maintained by any individual, the Company may merge, suspend, terminate, or deactivate any duplicate account(s) and may choose to recognize or award points in connection with only one Member account, at its sole discretion.
- Ownership of Account: In the event of a dispute over ownership of a Program account, the account will belong to the authorized account holder of the cell phone number submitted at the time of enrollment.
- Online Profile Access: A Member may use the Garage Rewards app to create a profile to manage their Program account and access additional Program benefits. Members are responsible for creating and maintaining secure login credentials.
- Fraudulent Activity: If a Member becomes aware of any fraudulent activity, including unauthorized use of a Member account or benefits, the Member must report the activity to the Company in writing at garagerewards@chemicalguys.com as soon as possible but no later than five (5) days after discovery or within a reasonable time, not to exceed thirty (30) days.
- Account Inactivity: Members who do not make any Qualifying Purchases, engage in Qualifying Activities, or associate their Program account with any Qualifying Purchase or Activity for twelve (12) consecutive months are subject to deactivation and cancellation of accumulated points and Program tier status at the sole discretion of the Company.
- Program Communications: When joining the Program, Members may be given the option to agree to receive text messages, push notifications, and/or phone communications related to their account and the Program, including promotional offers and updates. Members may opt out at any time.
- Notices & Correspondence: The Company may, but is not required to, send reminders about Program Terms & Conditions, available points, or point expiration.
- Member Responsibilities: Members are responsible for maintaining accurate and current contact information.
- Customer Support: For information about an individual account or any other Program-related questions, contact garagerewards@chemicalguys.com or call (866) 822-3670 Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm PST.
- Account Termination: Members may delete their account at any time via the Company’s mobile app or by contacting Customer Support. The Company may exclude or discontinue participation at any time.
- Misuse & Revocation: Any suspected abuse of the Program, failure to follow these Terms & Conditions, illegal activity, fraud, misrepresentation, inactivity, or other detrimental conduct may result in revocation of the account and forfeiture of points.
5. Earning Points
- You may earn points for making Qualifying Purchases and engaging in Qualifying Activities after your date of enrollment in the Program, provided that the Member supplies the membership number to the Participating Store employee before payment is tendered.
- For the most up-to-date list of ways to earn points, check the Program outline in the Garage Rewards mobile app, look for in-store signage, or review the Quarterly Rewards Catalog available both in-app and in-store.
- Members earn 1 point for every $1 USD spent on Qualifying Purchases in person at participating Company retail stores. “Qualifying Purchases” include regular priced merchandise and exclude clearance items, gift cards, select promotional bundles, and other items designated by the Company.
- All point calculations are based on the final purchase price after discounts, coupons, and taxes are applied, rounded to the nearest whole dollar.
- Members can earn the designated points for the associated Qualifying Activities. Qualifying Activities may include an account signup bonus, attending an event or class, or following the Company on Instagram.
- Members will not receive points from online purchases.
- Points will post to a Member’s account within 48–72 hours of the Qualifying Purchase or Qualifying Activity.
- All receipts should be retained by the Member until the point credit has appeared on the Member’s account. Discrepancy requests must be submitted within 60 days and include required documentation.
- Points are linked to a Member’s account and are not assignable or transferrable and cannot be combined across accounts.
- All points earned through this Program expire on the last day of the twelfth (12th) calendar month after the month in which they were earned. Once expired, points cannot be reinstated.
- A Member’s tier status is reviewed every twelve (12) calendar months based on their Qualifying Purchases during that period.
- Points, tier status, rewards, and offers issued under the Program have no monetary value, are not legal tender, and are not transferable.
6. Program Tiers
- The Program is a tier-based program where each tier is determined by a Member’s cumulative Qualifying Purchases. Existing Members from our legacy program will qualify for tier status based on purchases made after their first purchase in the new Program. Tiers and benefits:
- Crew Member: Entry tier upon enrollment in the Program;
- Insider Member: Achieved once a Member reaches $250 in total Qualifying Purchases within a 12 calendar month period; and
- Pro Member: Achieved once a Member reaches $500 in total Qualifying Purchases within a 12-calendar-month period.
- When you join the Program, you’ll automatically be placed in Tier 1 (Crew). As cumulative Qualifying Purchases grow, you’ll be advanced to the appropriate tier. Upgrades may take up to 72 hours to reflect.
- Tier status is measured on a rolling twelve (12) calendar-month basis beginning with your first Qualifying Purchase and evaluated at the end of each period. (Example provided in original text remains applicable.)
- Purchases later returned/refunded/voided will be removed from tier calculations.
- Point expiration does not impact tier status (tiers are based solely on Qualifying Purchases in the prior 12 months).
7. Redeeming Points, Offers and Rewards
- Points may be redeemed for eligible merchandise listed in the Quarterly Rewards Catalog on the mobile application and on in-store signage.
- Offers and rewards are available while supplies last; substitutions or changes may occur without notice.
- Redemption limits may apply to high-value items. Only one rewards redemption per transaction; may not be combined with other discounts unless expressly stated.
- Points earned on items that are later returned/refunded/voided will be deducted from your balance.
- The return of items purchased using points is subject to our Return Policy.
7.1 Rotating Rewards
- Rotating Rewards are exclusive to Members and may be refreshed quarterly (including seasonal, limited edition, or high-demand products).
- Rewards are organized by Program tier and available while supplies last. Insider Members may receive early access; Pro Members may receive priority access. Availability is not guaranteed.
- Reward calendars and updates may be communicated via SMS, in-store signage, and/or the app.
- Rewards have no cash value and are while supplies last.
- The Company may substitute rewards of equal or greater value.
7.2 2x Points Benefits
- Insider Members: eligible for 2x points during two (2) promotional events per calendar year.
- Pro Members: eligible for 2x points during three (3) promotional events per calendar year.
- Crew Members: not eligible for 2x or 3x points promotional events.
- Dates and durations are determined by the Company and may vary.
- 2x points apply only to Qualifying Purchases made during the event period and are not retroactive.
7.3 Tech Talks
- Tech Talks are one-on-one educational sessions with an expert, tailored to a Member’s needs or selected topics.
- Sessions are by appointment only and subject to availability. Topics may change.
- Tech Talks are for educational purposes only and do not guarantee specific outcomes.
- The Company may modify, reschedule, or cancel sessions with notice.
8. Third-Party Businesses
- The Program may reference third-party merchants or contain links to third-party products. The Company does not control such merchants or products and is not responsible for them.
- The Company shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss incurred in connection with third-party merchants’ products. Use linked websites at your own risk.
- Inclusion of any third-party brand name, logo, or reference does not imply endorsement or sponsorship.
- Inquiries about purchases or returns of third-party products should be directed to those merchants.
9. Additional Conditions; Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability
- Company reserves the right to interpret and apply the policies and procedures in these Terms & Conditions. All determinations by Company are final and conclusive.
- Covered Parties make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Program or related products/services.
- BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, EACH MEMBER RELEASES THE COVERED PARTIES FROM ALL CLAIMS AND DAMAGES. LIABILITY IS LIMITED AS DESCRIBED HEREIN TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. Binding Arbitration, Class Action Waiver, Jury Trial Waiver
- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. YOU ARE WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS AND AGREEING TO BINDING ARBITRATION.
- Any dispute between you and the Company must be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration, except small claims matters as allowed by law.
- Arbitration will be administered by AAA under applicable Rules, or, if necessary, JAMS or another agreed administrator.
- Procedures for selecting an arbitrator, venue, fees/costs, and awards follow the applicable Rules. The arbitrator will issue a reasoned award based on applicable law and these Terms & Conditions.
- CLASS ACTION WAIVER: You agree not to bring or participate in any class action against the Covered Parties. You may seek relief only on an individual basis in arbitration.
- You may opt out of these dispute resolution provisions by providing written notice within thirty (30) days of first enrollment.
- FOR COURT PROCEEDINGS, IF ANY, YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
- California User Consumer Rights information is provided as required by Cal. Civ. Code Sec. 1789.3.
11. Indemnification
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold the Covered Parties harmless from claims, costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees), damages, and liabilities arising from your unauthorized/improper use of the Program, your breach of these Terms & Conditions, disputes with other Members/third parties, tax claims related to your use, or violation of others’ rights.
12. Miscellaneous
- These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement regarding the Program and supersede prior understandings.
- If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder remains in force.
- Company can delay enforcing its rights without losing them. All waivers must be in writing.
- All applicable taxes, fees, and expenses related to acceptance and use of points are your responsibility.
- Promotions (e.g., sweepstakes/contests) offered to Members will be governed by separate official rules.
- Program materials are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly provided, no rights/licenses are granted to reproduce or distribute materials.
